Graduated from Qingdao Tech University with a major in arts and advertising, Xiu Ran(修然), a well-rounded artist, longs for a spiritual life of the ancient Chinese philosophers, expressing his artistic talents in guqin, calligraphy and painting. His style is known for simplicity, serenity and subtlety, depicting “a bounty of joy”(生趣滔滔)

Hua 畫(painting) is in the top four of the traditional Chinese art forms. Water color and landscape paintings have been the key elements of Chinese painting ever since. As talented as a versatile Chinese artist, Xiu Ran vividly depicts the peace & serenity of nature with the elements of plants, animals, people as well as the change of seasons. His artworks are only in limited production, literally for art collection.
Bu Zai Jing She Gugin (不在精舍古琴)
Xiu Ran(修然) is the 6th successor to the “Zhucheng Pai朱城派 (style)” Guqin in northern China. His predecessors were well respected by the scholars back to a century ago. Besides his mastery in guqin performance, Xiu Ran(修然) is also a experienced guqin maker. With his solid foundation in art and creativity, guqins were uniquely designed and crafted.
